We want to tell the Arctic’s authentic through the eyes of the talented photographers. Each photo tells and preserves a story of connection, tradition, and respect for our heritage. We curate a unique collection that reflects the landscapes, cultures, and stories.

The idea

The idea behind Ávnnas emerged when we recognized the growing demand for authentic everyday life photos. Therefore, we have established a image bank with skilled and reliable photographers to showcase the diversity of Sápmi.

For who?

This resource serves a wide range of users, including tourism businesses, creative agencies, researchers, media and press, and cultural organizations, offering them access to authentic image bank that truly represent the region.

Founded by

Ávnnas was founded by Marie Louise S. Hætta and Karine Kimo-Skjåvik, who also run the design agency Árvu. We aim to provide a platform for genuine, locally rooted visual storytelling.
